Meet The Night Owls Babysitters

Proprietor Lucy has extensive experience caring for children. Currently practising as a Clinical Lead Admiral Nurse in a Primary Care Network. Lucy has an Advanced Diploma in Adult Nursing and children's life support. She is also mum to three girls aged 17, 5 and 2.
Jen is a qualified primary school teacher, she has a teaching degree BA with QTS in English and literacy. She has recently completed her child protection training 2015. Jen also has two young children.
Sharon has over 30 years experience working with children as a nanny. Sharon has also worked in more formal childcare settings within the community. Sharon has an HNC in Early Childhood Studies and a BTEC Certificate in Nursery Nursing.
Holly is a qualified nurse and has been trained in adult and child life support and has a first aid qualification. Holly has an energetic and cheerful disposition and regularly cares for children ages 1 to 10 years old.
Claire currently works for the local authority in Children's Services as a family resilience worker, she has extensive experience in childcare.
Abbey has worked at a local nursey for the last 11 years. Started as an apprentice practitioner and is now the deputy manager. She holds qualifications and certificates in childcare, paediatric first aid and safeguarding.
Jodi is currently working as a teaching assistant in a special needs schhol. She has over 15 years experience working with children and is also a mum of three boys. She has many childcare qualifications and has recently completed her child protection and keeping children safe training.
Emma has worked in a nursery for the last 9 years as a special education needs coordinator and the designated safeguarding lead for the last 4 years. She has qualifications in early years, special needs, safeguarding and paediatric first aid.
Our carefully selected babysitters will give you peace of mind, all babysitters offer a complimentary 30 minutes before the first babysitting to help put you and your children at ease before you leave for the evenin g. REMEMBER
Night Owls Babysitting is strict about the babysitters it recruits. Every single one MUST have the following:

Experience with children and/or a childcare qualification/studying for a childcare course or have completed a British Red Cross BabySitting Course

Be over 21 years old

Have at least 2 references (one professional/one character) and a face to face interview

Have a DBS (previously known as CRB) Police check

Have their own transport and a clean driving licence

What is the Night Owls babysitter hourly rate?
All of our Babysitters are experienced and qualified, therefore deserve the hourly rate we set. The rate for daytime and evening babysitters within the home is £15.00 per hour (covering children) up until 1am.
Extra children £3.00 per hour extra
For weddings, parties/functions/hotel and holiday accomodation bookings the rate is £15.00 per hour (covering 3 children). Other rates may apply for larger bookings.
For bank holidays and special dates/days like Christmas/New Year's, Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day-the rate is negotiatble with the babysitter and dependant on number of children.
*The babysitter is to be paid by bank transfer or cash by the family prior to the booking.
**Please note: If in the unlikely event we don't have a babysitter available, your booking fee will be refunded if a booking was made with more than 72 hours (3 days) notice
